A regular practice that I've been fortunate to acquire is the process of reflection. During one of these times of self examination I came to the understanding of why I do some of the things that I do. I am a loyalist, a person who thrives on being faithful and true to ideals that one believes in. This truth has sustained me during tremendous struggles in life as well as hindered me in circumstances where I truly needed to let go. Being loyal is a necessary character trait to possess if one is ever to accomplish a sense of satisfaction in allegiances. However, loyalty on your part alone is not enough, it must be coupled with truth to experience real fulfillment. What I mean by this is that loyalty must be reciprocrated in some way by what or who you are loyal to in response to your act of faithfulness. The word of God admonishes us to be loyal to someone who is loyal (2 Sam 22:2). This principle alone can safeguard us from some of the unfortunate heartache we allow into our lives. Loyalty then is a matter of ones heart. #faithfultruebeliefsheart
